What is the ruling on a father who demands divorce for his daughter, who lives with her husband in a foreign country, and refuses her return to her home country, which leads to the occurrence of divorce?

If a husband wishes to distance himself from his wife for more than six months without a valid excuse, she has the right to seek divorce. However, if there is no legitimate reason for seeking a divorce, the wife is not permitted to request it, nor is her father permitted to encourage her to do so. Otherwise, he would be committing a great sin, for striving to separate spouses is among the gravest sins. And if the wife is not harmed and her father commands her to seek a divorce, she is not obliged to obey him in that matter.
