Is it permissible to postpone childbearing due to the presence of one child, the wife's mistreatment of him and her failure to take responsibility for life, along with her thoughts of suicide and escape, in addition to the husband's difficult financial circumstances and the possibility of his arrest at any moment?

Procreating is the primary purpose of marriage. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, encouraged marriage to a fertile woman. Postponing childbearing is permissible for a valid reason and with the wife's permission, as she has a right to have children. The claim of inability to properly raise children does not justify postponement; rather, the husband must prepare and train his wife, and they both bear a shared responsibility in raising their children. Family planning is permissible by mutual agreement of the spouses for a valid reason.
