What is the ruling regarding the 'Asr prayer that I performed where the female worshipper stood in front of the Imam, and must it be repeated?

Scholars have differed concerning the ruling on the prayer of one who prays ahead of his Imam. Some have validated it absolutely, some have invalidated it absolutely, and some have provided a detailed explanation, such as Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, who holds the view that praying in front of the Imam is valid when there is an excuse, such as limited space. The aforementioned prayer is valid according to those who permit the follower to precede the Imam, or validate it with an excuse such as ignorance.
