What are the prophetic Hadiths reported concerning cupping, and can one learn and practice it, and what books do you recommend reading on this subject?

Learning cupping (hijama) is permissible because it is one of the beneficial sciences. However, it is not permissible to practice it professionally until one has learned and mastered it, lest ignorance of it leads to the destruction of a life or a limb. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever practices medicine without having been known to practice it before, he is a guarantor (of any harm caused)."
