Do the heirs owe zakat on an amount one of them embezzled, the profits of which were not paid zakat on for ten years, or is it borne solely by the embezzler?

We would like to add an answer regarding the profit generated from the money that your brother took: Jurists have differed on its ruling, whether it belongs to the usurper, or to the owner of the money, or if they should both give it away as charity, or if the profit should be shared between them. We have mentioned the preponderant opinion among these sayings in Fatwa no. 63705.
