Do you have an article about household cleanliness?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Cleaning the house is desirable both religiously and naturally, because Islam is a religion that calls for cleanliness. General texts supporting this have been reported, such as the Almighty's saying: "Indeed, Allah loves those who repent and loves those who purify themselves," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "You are coming to your brethren, so set right your mounts and set right your clothes so that you may be like a beauty spot among people, for Allah does not like indecency nor those who act indecently." As for cleaning houses, a specific hadith has been reported, which is weak in its chain of transmission but authenticated by Al-Albani: "Indeed, Allah is good and loves goodness, generous and loves generosity, so clean your courtyards and do not resemble the Jews." This hadith is acted upon by jurists due to the soundness of its meaning and its conformity with other evidence and the objectives of Sharia.
