Is the prayer considered valid if children repeatedly interrupt it at home?
Source: FtawySummarized from the full answer at Ftawy · imported Sep 2, 2026
A worshipper is required to place a sutrah in front of him to prevent people from passing in front of him. If the sutrah is placed, the passage of anything behind it does not invalidate his prayer. The passage of children does not invalidate the prayer, even if there is no sutrah. If children touch the worshipper, his prayer is valid, unless there is impurity in what touched him from them. Able-bodied men must perform the prayer in congregation at the mosque.
