Is a man who is married to an excellent woman and lives a stable life, but has a problem with his wife's siblings, as he does not want to see them in his house, and he has asked his wife to prevent them from coming to the house and swore by divorce to that effect, allowing only her parents to visit, asking whether he has the right, Islamically, to prevent them from visiting the house, and whether his wife has the right to disobey his request?

Marital life is built upon affection and mercy. Part of a husband's good treatment of his wife is to help her obey Allah. Marital life cannot continue except through forgiveness and compromise from both parties. It is not permissible for the husband to prevent the wife's parents from visiting her in his home unless a definite harm results from that. The ruling regarding siblings is the same as the ruling regarding parents, and general custom in family communication must be observed.
