It is not permissible to take these funds or dispose of them without the knowledge of the owner of the money or the financial officer. The questioner should seek Allah's forgiveness and return the money to its rightful place, and advise his manager to rectify the situation. What has been usurped or seized through unlawful contracts is not permissible to take from its thief or betrayer by any means.
