And what is the ruling on a girl traveling without a mahram to seize a job opportunity that might enable her to marry a young man who is waiting for her?

1. It is not permissible to work or study in mixed-gender universities except under specific Sharia-compliant conditions.

2. A son’s refusal to marry the woman his mother has chosen for him does not constitute disobedience (Uqooq), but he should be gentle with her and try to appease her.

3. Regarding a young man marrying a girl from another country:

He is not permitted to marry her if his parents object due to a Sharia-compliant impediment, such as her lack of religious commitment or character, unless he fears falling into forbidden acts.

A woman traveling without a mahram is forbidden except out of necessity.

If the workplace is mixed-gender, Sharia-compliant conditions must be observed.

If the marriage is contingent upon Sharia violations and he is not compelled, then he must fear Allah and marry someone else from among righteous women. Allah will compensate him if he trusts in Him well and takes the necessary steps.
