The answer

Heartfelt vision is a spiritual feeling and insight towards something attained through discernment and contemplation. It is more important than sight with the eyes, for Allah Almighty says: "For indeed, it is not the eyes that are blinded, but it is the hearts in the chests that are blinded." Those with insight and discernment perceive through it, as stated in the verse: "Indeed in that are signs for those who discern," and in the Hadith: "Beware of the believer's discernment, for he sees with the light of Allah," and "Indeed, Allah has servants who recognize people through discernment." Discernment is acquired from intuition, experience, and divination. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned examples of the discernment of the Salaf and people of experience.
