Does an abundance of sins and upbringing from ill-gotten wealth prevent one from obtaining a righteous spouse?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Whoever has committed many sins must hasten to repent to Allah. Allah accepts repentance and replaces evil deeds with good ones. Allah Almighty says: "Except for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds - for them Allah will change their evil deeds into good ones. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 25:70). As also stated in the Hadith Qudsi, Allah forgives sins no matter how great they are.

The servant must adhere to repentance, increase good deeds, and not despair of Allah's mercy, for despairing of Allah's mercy is among the major sins.

To obtain a righteous husband, one must make abundant supplications, for Allah answers the prayers of those who ask. Adherence to Allah's commands is one of the greatest reasons for the acceptance of supplications.
