Is the prayer of one who intends to commit a sin upon leaving the mosque after finishing their prayer considered valid?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The correct prayer, which has fulfilled its conditions and pillars, may still be deficient if it does not affect the rectification of the heart and the uprightness of the servant upon Allah's command. Allah Almighty says: (And establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing). Thus, persistent adherence to prayer, with its complete pillars and devotion, illuminates the heart, purifies the soul, and reduces the desire for evil. A prayer that does not prohibit immorality and wrongdoing indicates a disregard for its rights, even if the Muslim performs it. Therefore, a Muslim should pay attention to their prayer and complete it so that their heart may be rectified, and they may succeed in the good of this world and the Hereafter.
