When will the followers of other religions recognize the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, so that this may serve as a basis for true and reciprocal dialogue, especially since Islam has affirmed the prophethood of Jesus, peace be upon him, and the status of the Virgin Mary?

Those who engage in interfaith dialogue must know that Allah created the jinn and mankind to worship Him alone, and that submission to Him and adherence to His religion, Islam, is Allah's intent for creation. It is the religion of all prophets. All prophets share one religion, even if their laws differed in some particulars. In every era, it is obligatory to follow the sent Messenger. Allah Almighty has described those who adhere to His true religion as Muslims. Thus, Abraham, Jacob, their sons, the sorcerers of Pharaoh, Noah, Moses, Solomon, and the disciples were all Muslims. Islam, in its general sense, is submission to Allah and devoting worship to Him alone. It is the religion of all prophets, including Moses and Jesus, peace be upon them both. Allah took a covenant from the prophets to believe in Muhammad, peace be upon him, and to support him. Muslims must believe in all Messengers, and Jews and Christians must also believe in all of them. Whoever differentiates between the Messengers is a disbeliever. Muslims believe in the prophethood of Jesus, peace be upon him, and Christians must follow the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad, peace be upon him, for it has been confirmed in the Gospel what foretells his prophethood.
