Is it permissible to pray that one's family be with him in Firdaus (the highest) Paradise, God willing?

Asking Allah for Al-Firdaws is permissible and encouraged, for it is the highest and most central part of Paradise, and above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful. It is permissible for a Muslim to ask Al-Firdaws for his family, loving for them what he loves for himself, for he is responsible for guiding them and protecting them from the Fire, and he is commanded to love good for all Muslims.
