What is it obligatory for a doctor to know, in his profession, according to Sharia, and does medicine have a fiqh (jurisprudence)?

Medicine undoubtedly has its own jurisprudence, which is why scholars have dedicated specific books to it, and jurists have discussed the rulings on illness and treatment. A doctor must know what treatments are permissible, so he does not prescribe a forbidden medicine, and who may be treated, so it is not permissible for him to treat a woman without necessity, and vice versa. He must also learn the rulings on hiring for the validity of his contracts. These are examples of what a medical professional needs, and he must strive to learn what is necessary for him and ask about what is unclear to him before practicing.
