Does a triple divorce pronounced in a moment of extreme anger take effect?

The majority of scholars hold that the divorce pronounced by an angry person is effective, unless their mind has been completely overtaken. If you uttered the divorce while fully aware of what you were saying, then your divorce is effective, no matter how intense your anger was. If by repeating the word of divorce you intended to issue three divorces, then all of them have occurred, and your wife has become irrevocably divorced from you (Baynunah Kubra). If, however, by the repetition you intended only one divorce, then only one divorce has occurred.

If the divorce did not complete three divorces, you may reconcile with your wife during her waiting period (iddah).
