Does working for the United Nations organizations with foreigners in northern Iraq make the money unlawful (haram) or lawful (halal)?

It is permissible for a Muslim to work for a non-believer as an employee, provided that the work does not involve anything forbidden, such as pressing wine or herding pigs, and that it is not a personal service that humiliates the Muslim. If the employment contract is free from these prohibitions, then the money earned from it is lawful. The proof for this is the work of Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, for a Jew in exchange for dates. However, if the work involves a forbidden matter, it is not permissible for a Muslim to undertake it in the first place, and if they do, they should take their wages and donate them to charity.
