Is it permissible for a father to disclose a secret of his wife's to their son?

The prohibition in the hadith refers to a husband disclosing the secrets of marital intimacy and details of intercourse, which is an ugly act contrary to chivalry and modesty. As for secrets not related to intimacy, it is forbidden to disclose them if their disclosure leads to harm or if their concealment was requested. A distinction is made in disclosing secrets that cause no harm between a close relative and a stranger; it is generally understood that a person does not mind his son knowing some matters he conceals from others.
