Is it Islamically permissible to supplicate against a person who committed fraud and sold a car full of defects, and is it true that the angels say to one who supplicates evil against another, "And to you be the like of it"?

It is permissible to supplicate against an oppressor to the extent of their injustice, without exceeding that. However, patience is more virtuous and leads to a better outcome. As for the saying of the angels, "And to you the like of it," to someone who supplicates against another person, it is incorrect. Rather, it applies specifically to one who supplicates with good for their Muslim brother, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) statement: "Whoever supplicates for his brother in his absence, the angel assigned to him says: Amen, and to you the like of it."
