Does an oath of divorce take effect if a man swore to divorce his wife if he opened a certain page on his mobile phone, but his hand accidentally pressed it without his intention to open it, and the purpose of the oath was to convince his wife of his sincerity?

If you swore by divorce that you did not open a certain page, and you intended not to open it deliberately, then there is no breaking of the oath for you. However, if you swore by divorce, lying intentionally, then the fatwa we follow is that the divorce occurs, and there is no expiation upon you. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is of the view that divorce does not occur in this situation and no expiation is required. It should be noted that the lawful oath is to swear by Allah, and swearing by divorce is among the oaths of the dissolute.
