Is it obligatory for one who offers a sacrifice in another country, when his father is slaughtering the sacrifice on his behalf in Jordan, not to cut his hair or clip his nails? And does this prohibition begin from the moment of intention or from the time the money is sent?

It is permissible to delegate one's father to slaughter the sacrificial animal in another country. It is also recommended for the one offering the sacrifice to refrain from removing hair or clipping nails from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah until he sacrifices, or from the time he intends to sacrifice if he makes the intention after the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah has appeared.
