How can one advise a brother who is not convinced by prayer and its movements, nor by ablution and other matters in religion; who compares Islam to other religions; who sees atheism as "the religion of those who have no religion"; who considers his current approach of "no methodology" to be the most correct; and whose belief in the error of others is increasing?

Your brother is in great danger, and there is fear of him deviating and apostatizing from the religion of Allah. We advise you with the following:

1. Do not despair of his guidance, and continue to advise him in the best manner. 2. Have some intelligent people discuss with him, because this type of person sees himself above others, so he needs someone like himself who possesses similar qualities in dialogue, advice, and guidance. 3. The discussion with him should focus on how atheism contradicts innate human nature (fitra) and reason, steering clear of religious texts. 4. Watch audio and video clips of esteemed scholars in their discussions with atheists. 5. Supplicate for him and seek out virtuous times for doing so.
