ما هي علامات الفجر الصادق؟

The true dawn (al-Fajr al-Sadiq) has signs that distinguish it from the false dawn (al-Fajr al-Kadhib). Among them: The true dawn appears horizontally from north to south and its light increases, whereas the false dawn extends from east to west and darkens after a period. Also, the true dawn connects with the horizon, while the false dawn is separated from it by darkness. The Shar'i rulings, such as abstaining from food and drink during fasting and the Fajr prayer, are linked to the true dawn (the second one).
