If the aforementioned phrase is associated with abandoning an undertaking due to a bad omen, then it falls under the forbidden tīrah (superstitious belief). However, if it is said as an expectation or a presumption that an matter will not be completed due to its initial difficulty, then that is not among the forbidden tatayyur.
