Is it permissible to accept tips given to hotel staff?

There is no harm for a receptionist to accept gifts and charities from hotel guests, unless it is in exchange for a service he is obligated to provide, or if the hotel management prohibits him from doing so, based on the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts."
