Is death predetermined in the Preserved Tablet, or is it decreed for a servant as a punishment for their sins or a test of their patience and faith?

Death is predestined before the creation of man. There is no contradiction between the preordainment of destinies and their occurrence according to Allah's wisdom. For destiny, wisdom, recompense, and trials are all decreed by Allah: "Indeed, We have created all things with predestination." Allah inscribed the destinies of creatures fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth. Allah has decreed for man what he will do, whether it be happiness or misery, and their causes. This includes the predestination of calamities, such as being afflicted with the death of a son, which could be a punishment, a purification, or a test to examine the strength of faith and patience, so as to facilitate for him either the good or the difficult path.
