What is the ruling of the Islamic law regarding the state granting money to "Mujahideen" as a reward for what they have offered to their country?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

There is no harm for the Mujahideen in benefiting from the grants and gifts bestowed upon them by the state, in honor of their sacrifices, even if they are wealthy. This is based on the saying of Umar, may Allah be pleased with him: "If something from this wealth comes to you, and you are neither aspiring for it nor seeking it, then take it. Otherwise, do not let your soul pursue it."
