What is the ruling regarding someone who disobeyed his parents, consumed alcohol, and committed adultery, but then repented after reaching the age of sixty and after his parents had passed away?

If a person has been excessive in sinning then repents, Allah will accept his repentance, for Allah forgives all sins, and He loves those who repent. The door of repentance is open as long as the sun has not risen from the west and the soul has not reached the throat.

The repentant person should increase in acts of worship and seeking forgiveness, and be dutiful to his parents after their death by praying for them, seeking forgiveness for them, fulfilling their promises, maintaining the ties of kinship that are only maintained through them, and honoring their friends.
