Does returning the full amount absolve one of responsibility before Allah, and what are the consequences of this action?

What you did, embezzlement, is forbidden by Islamic law. The money must be returned to the facility. Since you regret it and have returned what you took, you have done what is required of you. Repentance erases what came before it. Therefore, seek forgiveness from Allah and resolve never to return to such an act.
