Did Joseph, peace be upon him, masturbate to calm his desire and avoid fornication when the wife of Al-Aziz tempted him?

What has been mentioned about Yusuf (peace be upon him) regarding masturbation is a mere claim without proof, and the explicit text of the Quran refutes this in His (the Almighty's) saying: "And she certainly desired him, and he would have desired her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. Thus, We averted from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was one of Our chosen servants." So, the preventing factor was seeing the proof of his Lord. And the books of the People of the Book are not valid for argumentation due to their distortion and contradictions. And masturbation is forbidden.
