Is wearing the (Jordanian) jilbab in a Western country, where the majority of veiled women wear a skirt and blouse, considered a garment of fame, and must the one who wears it dress like others?

It is obligatory for believing women to adhere to modesty and cover their faces and all parts of their bodies from non-mahram men and strangers, based on the verse: "O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they should be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful."

Therefore, it is not permissible for a woman to wear non-Sharia-compliant clothing in front of strangers. She must consistently wear the jilbab (outer garment) because it provides increased covering and modesty, especially in a Western country like Canada. She is not obligated to wear a skirt and shirt like others, and it is not permissible to wear them if they do not meet the conditions of proper Islamic hijab.
