What should I do when someone leaves the row during Asr prayer in the mosque?

If one of the congregants leaves the front row, it is better to fill the gap. The prayer is valid and no prostration of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw) is required, because prostration is not obligatory for a worshipper who walks to fill a gap.
