What is the ruling on someone who finds difficulty in pronouncing the letter Ghayn in Surat Al-Fatihah? Must he repeat the verse to articulate the letter, and what is the ruling on repeating a verse in Al-Fatihah? Is it permissible to adopt the view of some scholars regarding letters that share a close point of articulation? And is it permissible for him to lead prayers in this situation?

The prayer is not invalidated by repeating Al-Fatihah or a verse from it. However, repeating the recitation is often a form of waswasah (whispers from Satan or obsessive thoughts), and its cure is to ignore it and pay no attention to it, contenting oneself with reciting the verse once. If the worshiper is absolutely certain of an error in a letter, they should re-recite the verse without undue effort. But without certainty, repetition increases waswasah. It is permissible to adopt the view of leniency regarding letters with close points of articulation when afflicted with waswasah. There is no harm in leading the prayer (Imamah) if the person afflicted with waswasah strives to resist it.
