If the components of the drink are permissible and it does not reach the intoxicating limit, there is no harm in drinking it. However, if it intoxicates, then it is forbidden, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Every intoxicant is Khamr (wine), and every intoxicant is unlawful," and "Every drink that intoxicates is unlawful," and "I forbade you from Nabidh except in a waterskin, so drink in waterskins and do not drink anything intoxicating."
