Does the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) appear to the saint as a miraculous favor, thereby opening his inner sight?

The appearance of the spirit of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to a saint, and considering this to be a miracle, is something that has no basis in Islamic law. It has not been narrated that the masters of the saints experienced this. Seeing him in a dream is possible, but the belief of some in his presence at their gatherings and their rising for him is a deviation. The claim of seeing him while awake contradicts the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the consensus of the Ummah, for the dead will emerge from their graves on the Day of Resurrection, not in this world. If the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, were to appear to anyone after his death, he would have appeared to his companions. Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, did not wish to see him in a dream to derive rulings, and no legal ruling can be derived from a dream.
