A fasting person does not break their fast by taking the COVID-19 vaccine because it is not nourishing and does not reach the stomach; rather, the vaccine remains in the injection area. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has issued a resolution stating that therapeutic injections (dermal, intramuscular, or intravenous) do not invalidate the fast, with the exception of nourishing fluids and injections.
