How is the share of the two daughters from the house calculated: Is it based on the value of the house in 2014, or its value in 2023 after the mother's death?

A person's division of a part of their wealth among their heirs during their lifetime is considered a gift (hibah), and justice must be observed therein among the children. According to the Hanbalis, the male receives a share equal to that of two females, or according to the majority of scholars, equality between male and female. If the donor dies having favored some over others, the gift must be included in the inheritance and distributed legally among all heirs, with the male receiving a share equal to that of two females. The house must now be divided among all heirs. If they agree that the two sons take it and compensate the two daughters, there is no harm, and the value of the house is calculated at its current price. If the two daughters wish to have their share of the house and it is divisible without harm, that must be done. Otherwise, it should be sold and its price divided, or lots drawn.
