It is permissible to wear socks after performing ablution and to pray in them, as long as the ablution remains valid and has not been nullified. It is also permissible to wipe over them if ablution is nullified, because they were worn in a state of ritual purity. It is not a condition to wear them immediately after ablution. It is recommended to renew ablution for each obligatory prayer.
