Is it permissible to work in the Ministry of Finance, which collects taxes and operates under laws that have no connection to Islam, or is it better to choose the education sector?

If the work is in the tax administration affiliated with the ministry, its ruling has already been explained in Fatwa no. 32675.

As for working in another administration that does not collect taxes, one should consider the nature of the work and whether it is permissible شرعًا (Islamically) or not.

Regarding the choice between working in this ministry and the education sector, the preference depends on what achieves benefits for religion and oneself and minimizes harm. Generally, the education sector is better because it offers an opportunity for inviting to Allah and instilling a spirit of religiosity and uprightness in the students, provided that this opportunity is available to the person.
