The partnership is a non-binding contract according to the majority of scholars, so a partner may dissolve the contract whenever he wishes. Profit in a partnership is determined by agreement and does not appear until after the company's expenses and costs have been deducted. Key money (badl al-khuluw) may be taken if the tenant is still within the contract period and the owner wishes to evict him. The two partners have a right to it if the property was leased with company funds.
