Does a person who memorizes forty hadiths become a scholar, and what are the conditions for a person to be considered among the scholars?

Whoever desires to become a scholar should accompany and associate with scholars to learn from them the religious sciences, such as beliefs, the Quran, Hadith, exegesis, jurisprudence and its principles, the rules and etiquette of language, and biographies. Memorizing forty hadiths does not make one a scholar, and the hadiths that mention this are weak or fabricated.
