Whoever desires to become a scholar should accompany and associate with scholars to learn from them the religious sciences, such as beliefs, the Quran, , exegesis, jurisprudence and its principles, the rules and etiquette of language, and biographies. Memorizing forty hadiths does not make one a scholar, and the hadiths that mention this are weak or fabricated.
