Whoever is asked to repair a computer or similar device is not permitted to look at the content of the files, because he has not been given permission to do so. This is a gateway to evil and temptation. However, if he is given permission to look at the contents of the device, it is permissible to do so without accessing movies, clips, or images. If an evil is apparent, such as a forbidden image on the desktop, the default is that it is an evil that must be removed, unless a greater harm would result from doing so.
