Does involuntary urination during sleep necessitate ghusl?

The emission of urine does not necessitate ghusl (ritual bath) by scholarly consensus; rather, it only invalidates ablution, whether it occurs during sleep or wakefulness. One from whom urine has been emitted during sleep must promptly purify their body and clothes from it upon waking, because avoiding impurity on the body and clothes is a condition for the validity of prayer, and because negligence in purifying oneself from urine is one of the causes of torment in the grave. One afflicted with this condition is advised to take precautions before sleeping and to consult doctors for treatment.
