Is it permissible for a wife to openly complain to her husband who has neglected her and their daughters financially and emotionally, preferring another woman and her children over them, knowing that confronting him might lead him to cut off the monthly allowance?

If a husband takes a mistress and neglects the rights of his wife and children, he has committed a clear error; for Islam has forbidden taking mistresses and prohibited neglecting those under a man’s care.

The best remedy for this problem is patience and abundant supplication for the husband’s guidance.

It is advisable to seek the help of knowledgeable and wise family members to reconcile between the spouses, and if this is not achieved and harm occurs, the matter can be referred to the Sharia court.
