Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on photographic imaging of living beings, and consequently, on selling the equipment used for it. It is preferable to avoid it due to doubt. However, what you have previously earned from it cannot be definitively deemed unlawful, given people's pressing need for photography in our era, especially for official and identification documents. Dr. Abd al-Nasser bin Khidr Milad has favored the permissibility of photographic imaging due to the urgent need for it and because it serves a general religious and worldly interest. This is also because the photographer does not imitate the Creator but rather records what Allah has brought into existence. Therefore, there is no objection to practicing this work and trading in it.
