Is it permissible for a young man afflicted with cancer and committed to his faith to go on a picnic with female college colleagues with the intention of improving his psychological well-being, provided that there is an assurance of no attraction towards women, and only for one time?

The questioner is advised to sincerely resort to Allah and ask Him for well-being, for Allah answers the prayer of the distressed and removes evil. There should be no despair, for Allah is capable of all things, and the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "For every disease there is a cure." The questioner is also reminded that it is permissible for students to go on trips under specific conditions, and if any condition is not met, then it is not permissible for him to go. His illness does not justify his going if there are religious transgressions involved. He should seek another way to entertain himself without falling into what displeases Allah, and he should adhere to obedience and stay away from disobedience so that he may attain Allah's mercy and have his prayers answered.
