Is it permissible to work in a factory that primarily sorts alcohol bottles, in order to meet one's needs and provide for one's family, if the questioner is threatened with deportation to another country where he fears perishing, and is he obligated to leave this job immediately while searching for an alternative?

One must abandon forbidden work as long as a Muslim finds what suffices him and his family. It is not permissible to remain in it for the purpose of earning and saving money for the future, for forbidden work is only permissible in cases of dire necessity. And whoever fears Allah, He will provide for him good sustenance from where he does not expect, and He will facilitate for him means of lawful earning.
