The answer

The characteristic of blood is not considered unless the duration of menstruation exceeds fifteen days. As long as you are close to Mecca, if the blood is menstrual, you must return to Mecca and perform circumambulation (Tawaf) and the ritual walking (Sa'i). You are not required to offer a fidyah (expiatory sacrifice) for the prohibitions of ihram, as they are lifted by the first partial disengagement (tahallul al-awwal), except for sexual intercourse. If sexual intercourse occurred due to ignorance of the ruling, it is hoped that nothing will be incumbent upon you.
