We can hardly find a historical book or a book on biographical accounts written after the lives of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Ibn Taymiyyah that does not mention them. Some scholars have dedicated independent books to them. Among the most important who wrote about them are: Imam al-Hafiz al-Dhahabi in his two books, "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'" and "Tadhkirat al-Huffaz," and Sheikh Abu Zahra in his two books, "Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal" and "Imam Ibn Taymiyyah."
